You won’t want to miss the next concert in our Music on the Mountain series:
A Festival of Lessons and Carols
The James I. O’Neil High School Chamber Singers
Christopher Sheehan, Conductor
Sunday, December 17, 2017
Last year’s concert was a magnificent performance of classic Christmas music presented in several languages – French, Russian, German, English – by this gifted high school chorus. Come early in order to secure your seating.
This concert, like all in our Music on the Mountain series, is presented free of charge. Everyone is welcome to join us for this special event, held in the beautiful, tranquil setting of St. John’s in the Wilderness.
The Church of St. John’s in the Wilderness was founded in 1880 and has a long history of community projects, and this concert series is conceived as another service to our community. The concerts are free of charge, but voluntary donations are appreciated in order to help defray the costs of these excellent performances. Everyone is welcome to attend.
The church is a beautiful stone building in a tranquil setting that you will enjoy. Directions to the church are as follows: Palisades Parkway to Exit 14, turn west onto Willow Grove Road and continue 3 ½ miles to St. John’s Road, where there is a large sign directing you to turn left and proceed another ½ mile to the church. We hope to see you there!
