You won’t want to miss the next concert in our Music on the Mountain series, to be held on October 8, 4:00 p.m.  The highly talented couple, Victor and Gemma Keremedjiev, will be presenting a beautiful program featuring classical guitar and voice.  For the last three years Victor and Gemma have provided the pre-service music for our Christmas Eve services, and will be doing so again this year.  Gemma has sung with the Oratorio Society of New Jersey and the St. Peter Claver Barogue Chorale, while Victor has served on the faculties of Montclair State University and Upsala College and is director of The Classical Guitar Studio of Denville, NJ.  He has won prizes for his interpretation of nineteenth century music in Stresa, Italy. They have just published their second CD.

This concert, like all in our Music on the Mountain series, is presented free of charge.  Everyone is welcome to join us for this special event, held in the beautiful, tranquil setting of St. John’s in the Wilderness.

The Church of St. John’s in the Wilderness was founded in 1880 and has a long history of community projects, and this concert series is conceived as another service to our community.  The concerts are free of charge, but voluntary donations are appreciated in order to help defray the costs of these excellent performances.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

The church is a beautiful stone building in a tranquil setting that you will enjoy.  Directions to the church are as follows:  Palisades Parkway to Exit 14, turn west onto Willow Grove Road and continue 3 ½ miles to St. John’s Road, where there is a large sign directing you to turn left and proceed another ½ mile to the church.  We hope to see you there!
